I stayed home with my three-year-old while my husband and one-year-old joined the family festivities. I was feeling sorry for myself while I took care of my sick little boy. We were watching the food network - every show discussed what to do with Thanksgiving leftovers. Out of nowhere my sick son says, "Mommy, what are you thankful for?"

It was a God-incident. I loved the opportunity to tell him how thankful I was for this life. I realized how blessed I was. Thank you for a post that represents what the holiday really should signify.

Well put, Miz Sandy! I hate how Thanxgiving has sort of faded in recent years, pushed into the shadows by the super-bargain early Christmas shopping and all. Maybe this year we can spend more time considering how much we truly do have to be thankful for! :o)
