Hi, I'm Sandy. Five years ago I stocked up on beautiful glasses from the Dollar Store. As I started writing about dinner parties, I realized that this “icon” portrays a great message.

What a beautiful set of glasses! You are so sweet to let us all in on these! I love your blog and have been reading for a while now. I have your link up on my blog but am not sure how to change it out to the new one you have just started. Still learning!
[Reply]
I have been admiring cake stands lately! I was on the lookout for some on my last trip to the thrift store.
[Reply]
I am in LOVE with that cake stand!!!! Those glasses are beautiful.
I used to be a follower but I haven’t figured out how to follow your new website- it won’t show up on my Blogger Dashboard.
[Reply]
Well, you know I’m already a happy follower!
I have one cake stand with a domed cover.

I am loving those glasses and the cake stand. I have three cake stands but could easily have more. What a fun thing to collect! Not only do I use them for cakes but I also use in them to display different items. I currently have a pumpkin sitting on one in my dining room. Thanks for the chance to win this fabulous give away and I hope I win:)

I really love the presentation that a cake stand gives! But as much as I’d love to own more, I’m content with one for the time being. My Mom gave it to me and I remember many memories of her beautiful cakes on it. Now I carry the tradition. Guess the biggest challenge I have in wanting a few more is storing them. Right now I store mine in my display cupboard with dessert plates on it (with paper doilies between). I’d like to know more on how and where you store yours. Thanks for also, sharing the Pink Pig website. Fun, fun! Thanks for a chance at winning the glasses from it.

I LOVE cake stands, but I only have 2. This is something that I’m always on the lookout for at thrift stores.
Fun giveaway!!

i love cake stands. my mom had only 1 & it was clear stamped carnival glass with a gold edge & i’m now the happy owner of it. then, i started finding them at flea markets & felt i had to buy each one, hah! i stopped with i think 7, & started buying them to give to nieces. i now have 5 of them that are all alike.
and-another 10 that are various heights & diameters. we do a lot of large parties & they really come in handy for serving just about anything & i happily loan them out & we use them a lot at church. storing them is another story! (i’m thankful for a basement.)
i love those glasses! they are casual but so fancy, too. i’d love to win them. great giveaway.

Sandy- Love the new look! Congrats.
The glasses are just darling! BTW I joined your new following. I thought it would automatically transfer from the old one, but I am technology deficient, and apparently, it doesn’t happen that way!
[Reply]
I love cake stands – but don’t even have one at the moment, because I have no kitchen at the moment!
[Reply]
I love cake stands and wish I had more. I’m trying to count in my head and I think I came up with 5 cake stands and 4 cake plates. These glasses are beautiful.
[Reply]
I follow your blog too.
[Reply]
I LOVE LOVE LOVE those sweet glasses. Stinking adorable! And yes, I adore cake stands, but only have 2 of my own. A beautiful crystal one with a pedestal and then a basic glass one (not so pretty). I try to use them whenever I can. =)
[Reply]
Your new blogsite? Everything a-ok here…I haven’t missed any!
I need a cake stand. I have cake plates-many were gifts, so I have to use them, but a cake stand makes a statement!

What a lovely cake stand! I only have one with a domed lid – everyone should have at least two.

I have 2 cake stands, and several pretty cake plates. My favorite is a beautiful and old white milk glass cake stand given to me by Daisy, an elderly neighbor from my childhood. She had only one son who never married, so when the neighbor girls came of marrying age, she began to give away some of her treasures, with the agreement that they would be USED. It has held many a birthday cake in our home.

I only have 2 clear glass cake stands. Like other commenters, space is the on-going problem as to why I try to stop myself from buying more dishes. If I had the space, I’d have a lot more stuff.
[Reply]
I LOVE cakestands! Currently, I own two, and if I didn’t have so much self-control (ha!), I’d own more.
I came across your blog a few months ago, but lost track of you. Stumbled across again the other day, and NOW I’m subscribed so I don’t lose you again.
P.S. I love your “no apologies” rule…I feel the same. If you never pointed it out, no one would have ever known. People just love spending time with you, forming or strengthening friendships.
[Reply]
Love the glasses – chic and casual at the same time! Who would ever guess they were so moderately priced. I currently have 6 cake stands but after seeing the Pink Pig site that you so generously (bad influence) shared with us – I bet I will own 7 soon.
[Reply]
I don’t have a cake stand…I saw one the other day that doubled as an appetizer stand. Then you flip it over and it is a cake stand…Thanks for the chance to win those cute glasses!
[Reply]
Just became a follower! I too love cakestands – I think I have 4. Now I’m going to go get one out and USE it! Thanks for the chance to win.
[Reply]
I just bought my 5th cake stand – they range from plain white to goddy with flowers and even Christmas wonderfulness! They are so fun and I am always trying to match the cakes to the stands, which always adds to the challange! So fun!
These glass are beautiful btw! Thanks for the try!

I love cake stands, but I have not yet found one that i am totally in love with enough to foot the bill. I watch thrift stores for them, but for naught. Perhaps I will simply have to just break down and make my own. Sounds like I’m challenging myself, doesn’t it?
[Reply]
Oh dear me. I have to tell how many cake stands I have? I love cake stands. Here in California I have 5 and in Washington I think I have at least 7 or 8. Yikes!!
[Reply]
I use my cake stands a lot! I have 3 of them.
[Reply]
I am a follower!
[Reply]
Shockingly … I have 7. I think I’ve mentioned to you before that I have a weakness for anything and everything related to serving? Dishes, stands, tiers, bowls, platters, oh my, I feel light headed. Beautiful giveaway!
[Reply]
The glasses are beautiful. Thank you for the opportunity to win them.
I have to 2 cake stands. Both are clear glass: one with a dome and the other one does not. I am on the look out for a white one.
[Reply]
Thanks for sharing Pink Pig with us. It’s totally new to me, and I will, like you said, be spending the afternoon there, doing a little early holiday shopping!

I just recently found your site and I love it! These glasses are so pretty & fun!
I have 2 cake stands, one glass and one white ceramic. I love them and have always wanted to collect them, but don’t have the space!
[Reply]
Oh those glasses are so cute! I got my first cake stand last year and then this year bought another one with a lid. I feel so domesticated when I use it LOL.
[Reply]
What lovely glasses! That I, of course, would so love to win!
I have two cake stands that are officially cake stands. I have some other things that can be used as such, though. I would like to have more cakes stands, but don’t know where to store them!
[Reply]
I love cakestands and recently bought a charming white ceramic one at Marshalls! It’s square, which I thought was so neat. Currently, it has mini orange and white pumpkins along the sides with a Kerr jar and tea light in the center. Can you say “cheap centerpeice”?
[Reply]
Everything looks special when it is displayed on a cake stand! I have a vintage milk glass, and a hammered aluminum, but I think my favorite is the vintage, square, depression glass one. I have a square angel food cake pan, and when I make that cake and serve it on that cake stand..it just screams party.

Love the glasses! And yes…a cake stand addict here. My favorite is a clear blue glass cake stand we received as a wedding gift. I have 5 or 6 total which I think is totallyl reasonable!

I just became a follower of your blog this week and have really enjoyed it so far. Thanks for all the great ideas and information. If I don’t win these I will have to buy them…I am in LOVE! I followed at your old place and refollowed the other day.
I have three cake stands, but always need more. I often make my own using vases (and other bowls, etc. with the right hegiht) and platters to create new ones for the occasion!

I only have one cake stand…I don’t use it that often. Maybe because it’s plain clear glass. I might need one of those neat scroll-y ones to inspire me properly. Now those glasses???!! They truly inspire me!
[Reply]
I love, love, love, cake stands!!! I have 2 white ones, and 2 obnoxiously bright holiday ones!!!
[Reply]
I *heart* cake plates! I can never pass up an opportunity to snatch one up at a good price. They have oh so many uses! I currently have eight – they are all pretty plain and nothing as fancy as the gems found at the Painted Pig! The black cake stand is tdf! and the glasses adorable! ~clicking on the follow button now =) great blog!

I don’t have a cake stand, but I love how they look. Especially stacked.

I have one ceramic cake stand that I picked up from a thrift store for $3.00. It was pretty tacky looking and had a funky black and orange design on it. One can of teal spray paint later and its pretty stinking awesome I must say
[Reply]
I have a cake plate addiction….I have at least 4 that are white, 3 that are crystal, 1 wood, 4 metal, and 2 cream colored…..yes, it is definitely an addiction.
[Reply]
I have one. It’s plain glass….I really want a pretty one with metal or the kind you can run a ribbon through. Sigh…..
[Reply]
I don’t have a cake stand, but I’ve seen some gorgeous ones created online. The glasses your giving away are awesome. I am a new subscriber! Thanks!
