My mother-in-law was a great gal! She was a good cook and helped me a lot in my challenges as a newlywed. We loved having Gramma over at any time of day and she would invite us over, too. She lived only 3 minutes away. I miss her. Brings a tear to my eye.

My hubby's parents live 2 minutes (literally...driving) from our house and we often share meals during the week and often spontaneously!
