Losing Count is a Good Thing!

Christmas 2009

After a cold, chilly walk back to our friends’ house at midnight, after the 11 pm candlelight Christmas Eve service, we kissed and hugged each other good-bye and reminisced for a few minutes about another awesome, memorable Christmas Eve.

Appetizers and salad at one house.

Will these kids remain friends for a lifetime?

Christmas 2009

I’m thankful for the anticipation and celebration, for long-time friends, family, laughter and memories made at Christmastime. I’d say we parents have done a good job in showing our kids how it’s done. Even if not close, the memories will remain, as we’ve lost count of the number of Christmas Eves we’ve spent together with these families.

And I’d say losing count over the years must be a good thing!

I’d love to hear of your special memories made this Christmas season?

For the past 10 years we have spent Christmas eve with our dearest friends. These folks are truly closer than our very own flesh and blood and we consider them our “real” family. I am countin’ on losing count!!!

What a wonderful Christmas Eve! We strayed from our traditions and rather than spend it with family, we had another family who was home alone over for fettuccine alfredo and some games. It was so nice & relaxing. Then Christmas day (& the next couple of days) we were snowed in & had some great time, just our little family. I was so disappointed though, both of our cameras quit working & I have no pictures, I will just have to blog word pictures!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We love taking advantage of the fact that we don’t have extra church things going on and invite several people over for games and food. Memories are made over homemade clam chowder and cinnamon rolls!
