as someone who’s not so inspired to entertain with a full meal, i find that my fondue pot is invaluable. it’s fun, quick, easy, and the possibilities are just endless! plus, cheese and chocolate are usually involved…

While I have never served fondue to guests, we like to use our fondue pot for cheese fondue for the three of us.

We do have fondue! Married in 1973 and received a fondue pot…had our first fondue celebrating Christmas Eve. We have tried to have a fondue each year at that time and have had fun and interesting times. Now our married children have started the same tradition. Always a memory maker.

We love fondue! My MIL and BIL make a swiss cheese fondue for bread and my daughter actually requested we have chocolate fondue at her birthday. I cut up a variety of fruit as well as pretzels and marshmallows. I had to find a chocolate fondue since I’d never made it before…it was wonderful. I also made a yummy fruit dip to serve as well, though the fondue was such a hit I had to make 3 batches!!

What a fun party! These are great ideas-it really is so simple to have people over, I’m wondering what kind of party I could do….I can’t do fondue but that wouldn’t stop me from a party!

Hi Laura,
Great post, it looks like so much fun, Hawai theme is great for a chilled out evening, it’s so fun and everyone can join in. I love when food can be shared too it’s so sociable and everyone gets involved.

We have a couple of those little fondue sets with the tealight underneath, we usually have chocolate fondue in them and do it as a pudding. We melt the chocolate on low in the microwave then put it in the fondue set to keep it warm and melted. Melted chocolate is so good! I feel your pain with throwing the chocolate away, I remember doing that a few time myself!

I agree Sandy is a great inspiration! It’s so much fun to entertain – especially when your guest bring some food and everyone cooks their own.
