WIN 2 Gift Cards: KRAFT Chicken in Creamy Pan Sauce!

by Sandy on January 14, 2010

Chicken in Creamy Pan Sauce

It was a Sunday afternoon and I knew we were having company for dinner. I knew my meal didn’t have to be perfect. I knew our friend who was coming would eat anything I’d cook, and love it. And I knew we had chicken breasts in the fridge.

After loading the iFood Assistant app on my iPhone awhile back, I’ve just now started using it – a lot!

But before I continue with the recipe, I want to tell you that I will be giving away 2 GIFT CARDS to ONE lucky winner!

Here are the details: I was given the opportunity (iTunes giftcard) to download and review the Kraft Foods iFood Assistant app for my iPhone. I was also given a gift card to pay for groceries (have I told you how much I love Kraft Foods?)

Back to the chicken. I went to the “Dinner Tonight” feature and I found the following chicken recipe.

Why did I choose this one? Because it was 4 (out of 4) stars and I knew I already had all of the ingredients. But I have to tell you, if I hadn’t had the ingredients, I would have chosen a recipe and clicked right on the shopping list! Easy-peasy! It even organizes everything by department/aisle, finds your nearest grocery store AND on the Kraft Kitchens site, you can even add your own items to the shopping list that shows up on your iPhone, iTouch or Blackberry.

YES! You can NOW get the iFood Assistant on your iPhone, iTouch AND your Blackberry.

I also “watched” how to make this recipe (on my iPhone) in about 30 seconds – and I said, I can do that!

WINNER CHOSEN

And now for the recipe!

Kraft Chicken in Creamy Pan Sauce

CHICKEN IN CREAMY PAN SAUCE
4 small boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1 lb.)
2 Tbsp. flour
1 Tbsp. oil
3/4 cup fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth
4 oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cubed
1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

COAT chicken with flour. Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat. Add chicken; cook 5 to 6 min. on each side or until cooked through (165°F). Remove chicken from skillet, reserving drippings in skillet. Cover chicken to keep warm.

Chicken in Creamy Pan Sauce

ADD broth to skillet; stir to scrape up browned bits from bottom of skillet. Add cream cheese; cook 2 to 3 min. or until cream cheese is melted and sauce starts to thicken, stirring constantly with wire whisk.

Chicken in Creamy Pan Sauce

RETURN chicken to skillet; turn over to coat both sides of chicken with sauce. Cook 2 min. or until chicken is heated through.

I served this dish with broccoli. And I added a special touch: cherry tomatoes and crumbled bacon. It was DELICIOUS! Thank you, Kraft Foods, for this easy recipe – one of 7000 on the app!

I have been compensated by Kraft Foods to cover the cost of groceries to try out recipes featured on iFood Assistant 2.0/LITE, downloading the app and conducting reader giveaways. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive sentiments towards iFood Assistant or other Kraft Foods mobile offerings.

THE 5 WINNERS who get to attend the A Woman Inspired Conference for FREE: Selena, Darla, Kristen, Courtney, and Emily Wade. Congrats Ladies!

I did not know about the Kraft foods app but would definitely use it! It drives my husband crazy that I have only downloaded a few apps on my phone, but I hate wasting time looking thru all of them. Thanks for letting me know about it!

I didn’t know about this particular app and think that it could be very useful in my household… over 600 recipes is a great idea, I could never get bored cooking the same old stuff for the family. I have an iPod touch too, so this works out perfectly! And your chicken recipe looks pretty yummy by the way, thanks for the pics!

I don’t know much about the iPhone nor its’ applications. I just have a very simple cell phone and use it to make and receive phone calls.
My husband enjoys cooking and electronics and
I will be telling him about this Kraft iPhone application! Many thanks, Cindi

I wish I had an iphone to use this awesome application. I’m going to pass it on to my friends and family who do. My niece is newly married and would love to use this to expand her recipe options.

If I had an iphone (which in the future I hope to), I would definitely use the Kraft iphone app.
