Take a peek at this post (Sister Power: Burnt Breadcrumbs), where we’re all wearing Hip Hostess aprons and having a LOT of fun in the kitchen making my Dad’s birthday dinner. (Even though now we can’t remember what was so funny!)
Hip Hostess Debbie is a friend who over the years has supplied me with many of her beautiful aprons.
They’re actually hanging in my pantry! (Thanks, Vicky, for getting me organized!)

And here’s my favorite sheath style “Pink Sorbet!”

But today, with Valentine’s Day almost here, The Hip Hostess and I would like to give away ONE of these 2 beautiful aprons!
That’s right – you get to pick between the high-quality Pink Licorice or Pink Mocha apron designs!
COMMENT
Just comment on either question:
1. OK, I did a short survey (well, just between The Nester and me) – and our husbands do not read our blogs. It’s not that they don’t care, or that we don’t share with them what we are writing about – it’s just that their days are like hurricanes!
IF you have a blog, DOES YOUR HUSBAND READ IT?
2. Or, what’s your favorite occasion to wear an apron?
WIN
Your choice of one of the above 2 beauties!

COME BACK
Come back on FRIDAY, Feb. 12th, and I will announce the winner!
If you’re interested in ordering an apron right now, you can use this PROMO CODE: HHRE for 15% Off until March 1.
The Hip Hostess is throwing in a matching magnet set, too!
Happy Valentine’s Day – early – sweet friends!

Hi, I'm Sandy. Five years ago I stocked up on beautiful glasses from the Dollar Store. As I started writing about dinner parties, I realized that this “icon” portrays a great message. It says that dinner parties are attainable, they are affordable, and that they can be beautiful even when on a budget.

Does my husband read my blog? No, but from time to time I read posts out loud to him and he pretends to listen. (What a guy!)

Wow – I love, LOVE those aprons! I enjoy wearing aprons during holidays or special dinners like birthdays, when I like to be dressed up as the hostess, but still need to get dirty in the kitchen. The June Cleaver thing seems so appealing, but I leave the high-heels in the closet. (I will put the pearls on tho’!)

Oh, how I would love to an apron like that so I can slave over the oven making dinner for the family only to have them tell me I need cooking lessons! But I would look really cute in one of the aprons doing it!

Either while baking or cooking large family meals. What great aprons!
[Reply]
Beautiful aprons, and my husband does not read my blog unless I show him a specific post. Not enough time. Jackie

As for aprons I wear one whenever I’m baking. I have an unccaning ability to look as though I’ve been in a fight with a bag of flour each time I bake—so does our kitchen afterwards, but I love baking and just getting into it without worrying about the mess!
[Reply]
Believe it or not, my hubby DOES read my blog. It’s his way of “knowing” what is happing at home during the day while he is at work. Then we talk about it over dinner! We started our blog 2 years ago for our family to follow us as we traveled Europe & I had SO MUCH fun with it, I just kept it going. I {{{heart}}} those aprons – keeping my fingers crossed!!

I love to wear an apron when I’m baking with my children. It’s not that I get that messy with them, it just sets the mood. When they see me put my apron on, they know we will have fun in the kitchen soon!

I posted this to Twitter!

I love wearing pretty aprons when I cook. I’m a messy cook and it saves my tops.
My husband doesn’t read my blog very often. He can’t see it from his computer at work and very seldom does he get on the computer at home.
Love your blog. Happy Valentine’s Day

My favorite time to wear a fun apron is when I’m doing dishes, it helps make it seem a little more fabulous than it actually is!

I love to wear an apron – oddly – while cleaning. It makes me feel so ’50s Housewife-y that scrubbing out the trash cans seems more glamorous. ha! Thanks for the giveaway!

My husband reads my blog daily. As I desire to refresh the hearts of women in a biblical way, he is truly my greatest encourager! He even leaves comments from time to time! He’s a keeper!

My husband subscribes to the RSS feed so it goes to his mailbox – whether he reads it or not is another question! I think if the topic interests him he reads…just like any other subscriber! I love aprons. I have everyday aprons and special occasion aprons…any excuse is a good excuse to wear an apron. My favorites are ones with pockets because they become so functional!
[Reply]
I don’t have a blog, and so my husband doesn’t read it, but I DO have people over for dinner all the time! I love wearing my apron then as well as on Sunday mornings after church when I always cook a big brunch. I never seem to be able to get my apron in and out of the wash without needing it so another one would be really nice!
[Reply]
Yes, my husband reads my blog.
But I only post about once a week.

Yes, I have a blog, and no, my husband doesn’t read it. Not unless I specifically ask him to read a post; then he will. He’s generally too busy to spend much time at the computer!

Occasionally I’ll wear an apron when I’m cooking something that really spatters. I think these lovely aprons would inspire me to wear them more often! Thanks!

Every once in a great while, I catch my husband reading my blog. It’s usually after I’ve spent noticeable time blogging scheduled posts, or if I had said I was going to blog about something that happened. He doesn’t read it- or anything-regularly.
I would love to win an apron, because I’m the messiest cook I know. I always end up wearing what I make! I really like the mocha apron.

Hi,
I love this site and have been admiring those aprons at hip hostess for sometime now. I’m afraid I might be too late for the give-away but I’m going to give it a shot anyway!
I only blog occasionally so I can’t really answer the first question. I love to wear an apron when I’m baking bread. It makes me feel like a professional even though I’m still a novice at any cooking.
And I’m not on twitter either.
Thanks for all of your encouragement!

I am not a blogger, but I enjoy reading others blog. I subscribe to Crosswalk daily deviotional and really enjoyed one of the devvotionals you wrote for the day. So I selected to visit your blogger website and now I receive your blogger updates everyday. I would love to win one of the aprons – pink mocha — Aprons were on my Christmas list last year, I guess everyone didn’t think I was serious. I love aprons… I have some aprons that my grandmother wore. What a treasure.

Heck NO! My hubby won’t touch a computer Even though he worked for IBM for 25 years he tells me computers aren’t his thing. Whatever! – that makes this ALL mine
[Reply]
Or, what’s your favorite occasion to wear an apron?
I’m a newlywed. I married my high school sweetheart in September. My favorite time to wear an apron is while i’m cooking dinner for my husby after he’s had a long day at work. It makes me feel like a domestic diva! So very Martha Stewartesque! I am queen of the kitchen in my apron, plus, husby thinks its cute
[Reply]
I don’t have a blog …but I ‘help’ my friend Jenny with her’s …and I’d say her boyfriend does not read it. I’m addicted to blogs …love them! I like the polka-dot apron …adorable! bggianakos@yahoo.com

I like to wear an apron when I’m getting ready for a special occassion. It makes me feel like I’m organzied and ready for everyone to enjoy what I’m fixing for the meal. Also, it makes me think of my mother. She always wore an apron for all meals…nice memories!
[Reply]
I am not a blogger but I love your site. I just recently remodeled my kitchen and have truly been embracing “entertaining with no restrictions”. It has been wonderful to have a new space but I have learned (slowly…) that it is just the joy of spending time with family and friends that matters! A tiny bit sad that it took me 46 years but I have really loved reading all of your ideas. Love those aprons!
[Reply]
I do have a blog and surprisingly, my husband does read it. Although not religiously. Then again I don’t post religiously!!
) I would love to win one of the beautiful aprons you are giving away. I have but one apron in my home and it was made for me by my husband’s grandmother. Having an alternative to wear might extend its life a little bit, which I wouldn’t mind at all. Thanks for the giveaway. Becki

I always wear an apron when I’m making something that splatters, but my favorite time to wear one is for holidays or big get-togethers since I’m usually hard at work in the kitchen with all of the ladies. So it would be great have one of these beautiful aprons for those special occasions.

I love wearing aprons. I don’t need a special occassion! Especially if its cute.. And these are adorable! I hope I win!

I love aprons! Especially the pink one!
My two favorite times to wear aprons are when my husband comes home from a long day at work (he likes my aprons too), and when I bake with my daughter…she’s 4 and our aprons match!
Thanks as always for the incredible blog. I’m a faithful reader and always inspired. Blessings!

Yes…my husband reads my blog. He’s about the only person who does. In defense of no one else reading it, I don’t really work on my blog enough to encourage a readership of sorts. It’s a hobby for me, a place where I record stuff on occasion. I’ve been slow for a while not from lack of desire but from lack of time! Aren’t you glad you asked? Man I can take a short answer and turn it into a 15 minute conversation! Talent…
Anyhow…I’d love to win an apron. The only one in our house right now is an ugly black Starbucks apron my husband picked up somewhere. He uses it when he’s grilling… Ugh. I need a pretty.

Just had to stop by and thank you all for the sweet comments! How flattering to see our hip little aprons hanging in Sandy’s pantry! We feel so blessed to be a part of her heart warming approach to entertaining! Thank you Sandy!

Hi sweet Sandy,
First you look gorgeous in that pink apron! But what makes you even prettier is because I’ve met you and you are as pretty on the inside as the outside.
Second, thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a sweet comment.
Lastly my husband does read my blog but mostly because I ask him too. He does a lot of writing as a Pastor and I like his opinion:)
So glad we met!

I wear aprons frequently but my favorite time to wear one is when I am baking with my precious girls! They are now 12 and 17 and we still love to bake together and our apron strings just seem to bind us closer together. We keep their old aprons (so tiny) hanging in the hall–they are full of sweet memories!
Love your blog!

I love the aprons in your photo. Hip Hostess is well named! Since I get to choose… I’ll pick the Pink Licorice. It’s a very Hard Choice!

I’m going to answer both if that’s ok. (Because they are great questions!)
1. I have 4 blogs and my husband doesn’t read them. Although he helps me when I’m having tech problems.
2. I’m on 3 kitchen teams at church plus cook a monthly supper for our youth group – it’s fun to wear an apron then.

I love wearing an apron when my 3-year-old and I bake together. We make a whole-lotta mess and a whole-lotta memories!

Haven’t been blogging much in the last year, but even when I was prolific, my husband would forget to check it out (he’s a pastor and BUSY!). He would check it out when other people made comments about posts I wrote about him.
I forget to wear my aprons frequently, but when I do, it is usually when preparing and cleaning up from our community Thanksgiving dinner. Love that event.

I do write a blog and no My hubby does not read it. Ever! It drives me crazy because I post 3-4 times a week and it is kind of something I am proud of. But I still love him. It would be fun to wear this (the Pink Mocha) when I cook for him and tease him about winning it because he doesn’t read my blog.

Yes, my husband reads my blog! But…not often and sometimes I have to remind him to do so! LOL… Personally, I think he likes to get “caught up” with our life.

I love to wear an apron whenever I am in the kitchen. Actually, I love to wear my apron all the time. I love the pockets that hold everything and I feel like I can get “dirty” without worrying about my clothes. I must admit my aprons are not this beautiful. I might be leery of working with one of these on. But they are so beautiful!!!
Thanks for the giveaway!!!
