Let me tell you what I love about Kelly Anderson. Not only is she a generous soul and a beautiful person, her Kelly Anderson Art oil paintings are incredible, and they will make you smile! Painting flowers is actually a stress-reliever for Kelly as it makes her happy creating and painting them for others!
The day that she brought this gorgeous, springy painting of stargazer lilies to my house, I literally teared up when she left.
There’s just something about her work that is good for the soul, and during a difficult time for me, it brightened my attitude every time I walked into the kitchen.

Because it’s springtime and because I’m such a believer in Kelly’s work, this week we are giving away an original piece – to ONE lucky winner!

Even if you don’t win, just know that Kelly’s work is so affordable, so make sure to check out her website.
Talk about bringing a bit of JOY into your life!
Perfect idea for Mother’s Day!
If you’re like me – you will be forwarding her link right on over to your husband’s email, right? It’s a perfect, affordable idea for Mother’s Day … start putting the bug in his ear now!

WHAT TO WIN
A piece of “Kelly Anderson Art” right in your home. Kelly is giving away this original piece of beautiful astramaris!

HOW TO WIN
ANSWER THIS: How do you cheer up your kitchen? Do you enjoy having meaningful artwork on the walls?
WHEN TO WIN
(Make sure I know about either one.)
Come back on Monday, March 8th to find out who won this incredible original piece of art!
If you’re local in my town, Kelly’s work is displayed at Facet’s Jewelry Studio in downtown Medford. You’ll also see her work displayed at the Art in Bloom weekend.
Oh, and if you’re an animal lover, check out her new line of “dog” pieces! Incredible! Thank you Kelly!

Hi, I'm Sandy. Five years ago I stocked up on beautiful glasses from the Dollar Store. As I started writing about dinner parties, I realized that this “icon” portrays a great message.

I don’t have a lot of wall space in my kitchen….a lot of cupboards and open shelves. I try t keep the shelves looking bright and fresh by switching things out every month or two. I do have a great space on my mantle in my dining room for a lovely new painting.

What a beautiful piece! I love flowers! I miss not having a window in my kitchen to look out into my yard. I also usually had plants in my window. My kithen is presently cheered with my teapot collection. Each pot reminds me of the friend who gave it to me, or a friend I’ve shared a pot of tea with, or the little place I found that special pot.
[Reply]
i have a sock monkey in my kitchen to cheer me up. who doesn’t like sock monkeys? i WOULD like some pretty art to hang up though
[Reply]
Right now I don’t really have a kitchen as it is under serious reconstruction, but I like to add cheer to the kitchen through color. My walls are a “star-spangled blue” with blue and yellow toile curtains. I have pops of red throughout the kitchen and the color is so warm and cheery!
The painting are so pretty. Kelly does a fabulous job.
Thanks for hosting the give-away,
Jennifer

I don’t really have much wall space in my kitchen. I have found that a clean, uncluttered kitchen brightens my day as much as any art could! Also, I painted my kitchen a pretty, soft yellow for a cheery look.
[Reply]
I love to put fresh flowers on the huge island in the middle of the kitchen, I can see them whenever I look in there. It would be wonderful to have some of her flowers to look at all the time!
[Reply]
We refer to our kitchen as a ‘one butt kitchen’ because the work area is so small…not so cheery! But, we have found the best way to cheer up the space is by bringing in MORE people! It never fails to shift my focus from what I don’t have to what I do have…family and friends and love to offer!
[Reply]
Fresh flowers are a must for me. I also like a clean kitchen– no clutter, but my kids don’t always have that same desire
Love the paintings! I may have to put a bug in my dh ear.

Our kitchen is at the heart of our home. Everyone passes through it and I want it to invite cheerful and loving memories. I have WELCOME signs in two places to remind us to relax, gather and mingle. Also, placed is a bit of whimsy..my terra cotta pig lazily laying upon a picnic basket.

I usually add flowers to the windowsill — seems I’m always at the kitchen sink.
Thanks for the link to Kelly Anderson Art — wow! She is very talented!

We have a photo collage which matches the colour of our kitchen, so many good memories. When we move I think I’d prefer the current collage in the hallway and to make a new collage in the kitchen of photos of cooking and eating in our house with friends and family, but I need to find a really big frame again.
These are lovely, I need a little bit more colour in our house, this would really brighten it up.

We only have a few cherished pieces, one from a local artist up here in the north country, the other done by my husband’s Uncle, an artist in France, a little bit of his heritage hanging proudly on the wall. In my quest to feather the nest here in the cozy cottage I’ve been looking for something original, unique and cheery to hang in the dining area. This would be perfect! Oh how I would love to win the cheerful artwork…It would really brighten up my kitchen that is such a work in progress. One of the ways I have tried to cheer up this area is by adding punches of red. I have painted our barstools red, added a few red picture frames and used a few plates on holders. I love to add a few fresh flowers too. We need to see some spring here in Nebraska…it has been a very wicked winter and we are ready for some warmth. Thanks Sandy!

WOW! This is beautiful! I don’t have much artwork on my kitchen walls due to the fact I don’t have much wall space. I have a huge picture window over one entire wall in my kitchen (over counters and sink). Cupboards and cabinets on the other walls. The view from the window is how I brighten up my kitchen, and on a lot of days quite literally.
This however would go perfect in my LR with my light green furniture and red brick fireplace. What a fantastic giveaway. Thanks for the chance to win such a beautiful piece!

I cheer up my kitchen by making sure the counters are clean and the sink is clear of dirty dishes. The counters are a dumping ground for everyone’s stuff when we walk in the door so they are always a mess. The whole house feels clean when I walk in the door and am greeted by clean counters!

Beautiful paintings! How do I cheer my kitchen? That’s a tough one actually. I am still trying to figure that out. Our home is pretty open concept, so our paint is neutral – matching our living room, etc. So far, the way I have cheered my kitchen is through lighting. We have a lamp on one counter and just added undercabinet lighting. It has made a big difference!
