I’m a little late, but had to join in on this one!! This will be my first year with peonies. So far they are just big orbs atop stalks with big fat ants guarding them. Can’t wait to see what colors they will be and hope the ants will share a few with me! Have a great weekend!

I would LOVE to have peonies! I need to find a hybrid that doesn’t need a long, cold winter…

I always keep a bud vase in my kitchen window – something my mother used to do, too. Sometimes it’s roses – we have so many – and sometimes it’s just a snip of this or that, a nasturtium, a daisy and a bit of rosemary. It doesn’t matter what it is, but it always bring me joy to have that to look at while I’m scrubbing pots!

Hi Sandy! What beautiful flowers! I do so love fresh flowers. It’s funny–I love color, yet many of my home furnishings are pretty neutral in color. I think flowers are a way of bringing in really vibrant, wonderful colors and just CELEBRATING!

When you have that next luncheon, may I come? Oregon isn’t that far from North Carolina, is it?

YES!! =D I love to have fresh flowers at my kitchen sink 'n window, too! It truly makes washing dishes a beautiful thing inDEED! Your flowers are gorgeous! Peonies are one of my favs. Right now, I've got some fading flowers on my windowsill and they will be planted in the yard next. I've also got some potted herbs that I leave up there year round and use with my cooking. I have a peony obsession but I’m not sure I can get them to grow in poor little yard.

I’ve managed a few flowers that are pretty, although the deer apparently find my budding roses very tasty. (And why mine? They leave my neighbor’s alone!)

But tulips…tulips are my favorite!

Now I have flower envy!
