Through the years, I’ve learned that if I don’t take 5 to 10 minutes to get myself ready, before my guests arrive, I am flustered and just don’t feel my best. It is really important, not only for myself, but so that I can be the best I can be for my guests. And that also includes the state of my heart and my attitude.

Ladies, it’s okay to take 5 minutes to put on lipstick and freshen up!

I don’t know about you, but I just don’t want to be a frumpy hostess when I open my front door.

What do you do to get yourself ready before your guests arrive?

(This picture was from a summer dinner party this year and my dress only cost $12. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to look nice for your guests!)
