The first thing I would make is a FULL batch of hummus. We have had a very small food processor that works well for quick, small jobs. I’ve had to split the recipe to accommodate the smaller sized processor. I would really enjoy a RED one. Thanks for the give away.

I would probably start off by making lots of different sauces… I have a few recipes that require a food processor, and I don’t have one! My magic bullet works… in small batches… but I would love to have a real food processor to work with!

What a dream come true. I have the small food processor that my Grandmother gave me 20 years ago when I got married. It doesn’t do much and is very small. Every month I have been trying to take care of the 60 – 100 lbs of produce I get from our church’s produce distribution that we give out and I am trying to put it up for future use. It takes me awhile and a new food processor has been on my wish list. I am sure that I would be processing the tomatoes first for spaghetti sauce. My color choice would be silver.

I think I would choose the black model, though if there was a blue one I might go with that! And the first thing I would make would be potato latkes (potato pancakes). I always make these for Hanukkah and my daughter would like them more frequently. I don’t make them more often as it is a lot of potatoes to shred by hand (and, depending on the recipe I use sometimes it is potatoes, onions, parsnips, and carrots). So, I’d make some for my little girl!
I would choose the silver and would make tons of hummus and tomato soup.
Oooh – I want a red one. While my head would say make something healthy like hummus, my heart is going to go with carrot cake… hey, it has vegetables!

Ooooh, it’s so hard to pick what I’d make first… maybe I’d chop a bag of onions for French Onion Soup (so good!), or run a head of cabbage through for coleslaw (I always feel like such a cheat when I buy the pre-shredded stuff… but I’ve lost enough fingertips to the grater when I’ve tried to do it by hand!)
And I think I’d go for the silver model. Or white. It’s hard to say. But probably white, actually.

Red – that’ll liven things up! Since I cry at the mere start of peeling an onion – I’d definitely use it to slice onions. But winter pesto (parsley, pecans, parmesan and the most luxurious of olive oils). Better quit – I’m drooling on myself!

The apple and onion soup you were talking about sounds great, but I’d probably make pesto first if I could find the basil (mine froze). Whoops! I forgot to include what I’d make. I would use it to finely chop onions to include in my Grandmother’s Spinach Pie recipe.

Tough question! I think the first thing I would make is all the recipes I know that use fresh shredded coconut. After living in South Asia and falling in love with coconut dependant cuisine and then learning I had to grind the coconut meat by hand—what a trick! This would make my life so much easier, and my tastebuds so much happier. I think I’d pick the silver to match my grey K.A. Artisan mixer!

The many many options I would have with a Kitchen Aid food processor are endless and hard to decide what I would make first. I purchased a very inexpensive food processor and realized why it was so cheap, because it doesn’t work!! Then when my hand mixer went out on me again, I figured God was teaching me to not take shortcuts;) So I would say with a food processor I would start making some of the freezer meals and start a small side business I have always dreamed of doing. Pesto, my favorite, or salsa for enchiladas or taco soup, speaking of soup I would make black bean soup or a vegetable chowder. Like I said its hard to choose one but the food processor would definitely get put to use in my house:) Thank you

I would love the food processor in silver to match my stand mixer I received for Christmas. There are so many things I used to use my food processor for. My last one died but it worked like a champ for over 23 years! I would probably use it first to make some freshly ground beef.

If I were lucky enough to win one of these food processors, I’d make coleslaw. I’d chop some onion, then grate cabbage, a couple of carrots, and about 8-10 radishes (for color and their zippy flavor), tossed with a nice not-too-sweet slaw dressing, you can’t beat that for coleslaw! I’d love to have a black one!
If I get this, I’m going to make either salsa or pesto. I’d love to own a white or red.

Hmmm… I think I would tell my Mom (the cook in the family) to go through all the recipes shes been bookmarking and pick out something that shes been wanting to make since her last food processor died then take her ingredient shopping. Both of our kitchens are done in red (different themes) so after we eat and clean up I’d surprise her and tell her that it’s hers. lol It would get more use with my Mom then with me. She deserves it anyways =D

If I had this gorgeous processor (in Black) pickles would definitely be the first item on my to-do list. Not just any pickles. I would start out with a Haitian dish called pikliz which contains all sorts of vegetables (cabbage, carrots, onion, peppers and more) in a spicy brine. I would also make pickled fruit (in a sweet brine) and use it for desserts and spritzers!
