Keeping Ribbon Stocked in the Kitchen for Crafts and Decor

It’s the little things in the kitchen that make a difference for me, in staying on top of hospitality.

On top of hospitality, like when I get a hostess gift ready if we’re invited to friends’ house for dinner, or I think to take a loaf of bread to a friend, or a potted flower to neighbor.

One thing that helps is to keep one spool of your favorite ribbon stocked in your kitchen, accessible at all times.

I found this black and white checked ribbon at Costco (a very reasonable place to buy ribbon).

And I’ve found fun ways to use it like this.

On Valentine’s Day I took single primrose plants to all the single widowed neighbors in my neighborhood. It was my pleasure to bless, along with a short visit.

And this, a spring tabletop with primroses down the center of the table, with a touch of ribbon.

Cookies for a friend’s birthday.

It’s versatile because it works for kitchen gifts, hostess gifts, just-because gifts, birthday gifts, or even Christmas and holiday gifts.

I just keep it handy … just in case.

Oh, and did I mention that it does go with my Courtly Check MacKenzie-Childs pattern dishes?

It’s fun to play and be creative, but being organized for sure helps with taking hospitality to the next level.
