When our Princess Cruise ship drifted in to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, at the Sea of Cortez and the Baja Peninsula, we caught a glimpse of beautiful “Cabo,” one of the premier resort destinations in the Western Hemisphere!

Before we got off the ship, we enjoyed the most delicious breakfast, and I want to say that every meal was marvelous on the Ruby Princess Ship. We enjoyed some of the most delicious culinary experiences ever, which I will be sharing about in my next post.

In Cabo, there is so much to do, whether you swim in the pristine waters, take a boat out to enjoy the marine life, or relax on one of the white-sand beaches.

We began our day in Cabo with a short walk from the pier to the beautiful Cabo Dolphin Center. And a short visit with some exotic birds!

There is nothing to fear; the instructors really help to eliminate any fears a person may have, with their experience and training with these creatures.

The magical part came next. Hugging, kissing, petting, and other interaction. They are so smart!

Not only did we get to pet, feel, and get to know Frida in the water, the high point of our day was the “kiss,” and when she stuck her tongue out! Such a cutie!

And then came the thrilling one-on-one swim. The particpant gets to choose between a dorsal fin ride, belly ride or the amazing underwater dolphin ride!

I chose the dorsal fin ride (I did not want to get my hair wet, truth be told).

We said our goodbye to our new, loveable friend, and the rest of her family in the water.

Visit El Arco (the Arch) Lover’s Beach
Check out the majestic rock formation, carved by the ocean currents, one of the most recognizable landmarks in Cabo San Lucas. Located at Land’s End, around the corner from Lover’s Beach, you’ll see many sea lions.

Médano Beach
Cabo’s most popular beach is Médano Beach, which encompasses the east side of the harbor. Check out the abundance of water sports, restaurants and street vendors!

Todos Santos
Located on the southern Baja Peninsula, Todos Santos is a charming paradise that lies between the desert and the Sierra Laguna mountain range. Check out the quaint village life, abundant agriculture, and the marvelous, unspoiled beaches!

Snorkeling
You will find some of the best snorkeling in Cabo San Lucas, a marine sanctuary that’s home to a wide variety of colorful, thriving sea life!

Whale Watching
The sighting of humpback, gray, and blue whales breaching the water is truly an epic experience. Check out Whale Watching with a guide, who will lead you on an adventure in search of the gray whale, as it navigates the waters from Alaska to the Sea of Cortez. You’ll learn that this is the longest migration of any mammal.

Outdoor Adventures
Whether you love to horseback ride, zipline, ride on a yacht, or explore the off-road rugged country, there are many more outdoor adventures, where you’ll experience beautiful scenery, soar through the canyons, race through the waters, or hike along the off-road rugged parts of Cabo.
