All of these delicious recipes…I don’t think I’ll be able to wait until Thanksgiving to try them. These mashed potatoes look like the perfect indulgence for dinner tonight.

this sounds yummy! I love roasting garlic cloves and throwing those in before mashing along with some parsley…sometimes I’ll add cheese or some heavy cream or cream cheese, just to mix it up. LOVE mashed potatoes.

Side dishes are tricky too because unless the person knows what side dishes go well with the main dish, it could definitely be “off”. I usually have people bring salads, appetizer or desserts, unless I know how they cook and know they usually ask what I’m making, but it’s just easier to do the side.

Does the olive oil go in the boiling water? I’ve heard of that with pasta, but never potatoes. Can you tell me why?
