My mother in law went about 5 years ago to the painted hills and they were wonderful…she said pictures do them justice.

My husband and boys went camping in the painted hills in the winter of 2014. They loved it.
Last week they went camping in the Crooked River National Grasslands. Another great experience.

We do have beautiful scenery here in OR.

sounds yummy! I LOVE the sound of music. One of my all time favorite movies. Nope, never been to the Painted Hills but they are so beautiful, I might have to add it to our list for our next trip to Central Oregon.

Great post, enjoyed the adventures. The pear compote looks fabulous. We receive Harry & David pears each year for Christmas, so decadent!
