Although I cannot rate these enchiladas yet, as Ive not made your version, I do want to suggest one little change. Instead of flour tortillas, for authenticity– try corn tortillas. It just takes enchiladas to a whole new level in flavor. I’ve yet to try an enchilada recipe made with flour tortillas that can compare. But the sauce looks delicious, and I plan on making it this week. So glad ai found your blog, you seem like someone I would get along with!

Oh my goodness!! For years I kept thinking of my grandmothers enchiladas, but could never perfect the sauce. Lol, last week I contacted my great aunt and asked her if she might have my grandma’s recipe. Turns out that recipe for sauce is exactly like yours! What are the odds that the recipe would be found twice in two weeks. :)

I have never left a comment on a recipe before, but I have to tell you that THESE enchiladas are AMAZING. They were a big hit with everyone in my family!
