p.s. I also meant to say it is SUCH a gift that you consider and are prepared for special diets. Both of my children have food allergies and I always assure hosts that we can bring our own food for our kids but when they go out of their way and accommodate them/us it speaks to my heart in a huge way!!
Yum! I love keeping others in mind when preparing meals. I have experienced people who have the attitude "well, they'll just have to eat what I make", but honestly I get more joy when I take time to find out if they have any dietary needs/desires, or likes/dislikes. What a bummer to serve, say, chili only to find your guests can't stand it, or a meal only to discover they are GF, or Vegan. I love the challenge of finding and cooking meals to make everyone happy! Now it's not much of a challenge anymore because I incorporate those things into our everyday meals.
