Do you know how many calories these are? I used 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips and regular flour. I also didn't have quick oats so pulsed my regular oats in the food processor for a bit. They are delish! I will post my photo on IG later. I didn't frost them as they are great and super moist just as they are.

Yum. My mom used to always make chocolate zucchini bread. I have a zucchini in need of using, maybe I'll whip these up when we get home from vacation.

I love this post. I love kindness and doing things for others practically. I love that we've taught our daughters the same thing. Bringing meals is one of my favorite things to do. The other day my daughter and her friend went to the coffee house in Sunriver and she asked the barista where the tip jar was. I don't remember if they had one but somehow she put money in it and the waitress looked and said "wait, is that all for us" and my daughter said yes. The barista was surprised at her generosity. But my girls have always been that way. They have tipped waitresses way above and beyond what they even ordered because they want to bless them. They even had a waitress follow them out of a restauarant to thank them. What teenagers regularly tip generously...not many. My daughter, being a barista herself, knows how much tips can mean. My oldest daughter who is now married loves offering to bring meals for people and they regularly have young people in their home, sometimes staying the night(s). She learned that by watching us over the years.

One year we were in Hood River and on the tip jar each employee wrote what their tips were going towards...it was so cute. One girl who was working was going to buy an umbrella to take to college....we left, went to the store and bought her a cute umbrella and a card. She loved it. It's fun loving people in tangible ways that show we care, that we've listened to them, that hear their hearts.

Right now we have a friend living on our property temporarily in a tiny house because he just needs some help getting back on his feet. will it be interesting? sure. Will the county shake it's finger and say can't happen? maybe, but we'll cross that bridge when it comes. Right now he's a guy who needs some love, friendship and a chance to get on his feet. We've put boundaries in place so that it is as enjoyable for everyone as possible.

Okay got long winded, but this topic is definitely dear to my heart.
