It does feel good to have certain areas freed up and not so jam-packed. I began with the dining room China closet and have progressed to my hobby-craft-sewing room. When I finally get that one done, I think I’ll do a happy dance since its been needing attn for sooo long.
If you’re thinking of down-sizing, just keep in mind that kids grow up, fall in love, marry and have kids of their own! Sooner than you would think! You will want those extra rooms and closets for guest rooms, extra linens, etc.
We love having all our little tribe together but it’s challenging to all eat in the same tiny dining room (15 of us now) or watch TV together in our family room, even when the kiddoes are watching their own shows in one of the guest rooms.
Enjoy every season and every opportunity with your children, just as you are doing!
