When I&#039;ve done poppers, instead of buying pre cooked bacon, I just slightly cooked the regular bacon just enough so that baking in the oven would finish them off just right. My mother in law makes a mennonite recipe called date nut pudding. Basically a date and walnut bread that is cut up, placed in a bowl and then you stir in some whipped cream.
