Friends, happy summer and happy summer entertaining! You may have seen my post on preparing for summer, and getting the deck and entertaining space ready for summer guests and meals! Today I’m sharing a guide: Creating a Cheat Sheet for Easy Entertaining, for your next party, plus an easy-to-follow Summer Cherry Cheese Board (or tray).
I love to cook for family and guests! Family dinners mean everything to us. Food is a necessity, and if you can combine love, conversation, laughter, and family with a necessity….well that is perfection!
Creating a Cheat Sheet for Easy Entertaining
But first, how many times when we entertain do we forget something? Most the time it isn’t anything huge or essential, but it would have made the “entertaining moment” more special if we had only remembered.
I recently came across this very cool Entertaining Cheat-Sheet by Lulu Powers.
Tape it inside your kitchen cupboards for easy access when you want to make sure you have “done everything.”
I do think entertaining is like a muscle, that the more you do it the easier it becomes. So eventually you may not need your little list.

Pingback: Do You Have an Entertaining List?
I love this! It definitely does get easier the more you do it, but there’s always a little something I’ll forget. We’ve hosted Thanksgiving since we’ve been married and finally this last year (our 12th year hosting), my husband commented that it had to have been the most relaxing one yet. I know for sure my attitude was better too! Not that you need that many years of practice but for a big holiday, it surely takes a few!
Love this … Thx for Tweeting :-)
I love this . I always find myself making lists all over a million yellow pads and they end up everywhere. I need a better system. This might work.
Thank you so much for sharing both of these printouts! :)
I love this Sandy! I do have a hard time remembering, I make lists but hate the feeling of “forgetting something”. These lists are great!
