But, I generally scour the nearby fields for Queen Anne’s Lace, Chicory, and wild Daisies. And anything else that’s blooming and beautiful. For fun I often throw an American flag in the arrangement. 4th of July arrangements are the most fun. It’s when my ‘country’ side comes out….as do the assortment of red, white, and blue napkins and table cloths. Your post was just what I needed to get thinking about hosting a July 4th partay!

We will be using red, white and blue plates and napkins for the 4th with blue tableclothes. We will be using natural material baskets to hold food platters for serving a family style dinner. I just love this idea! Natural centerpieces always look so much nicer than a lot of store bought nick-nacks.

Here in Texas we have a lot of salvia that has beautiful blue flowers which would be perfect for a centerpiece. You have given me such a good idea! :-) I am having the whole clan over on the 4th, so anywhere I can save on table settings and use what I have is always a bonus. That way I can put the bulk of my money into the food…always a good thing! :-)

I like to use geraniums in white pots on gingham tablecloths – so homey and fresh. And it’s raspberries and vanilla ice cream to keep the theme going!
