Just finished this book night before last. Highly recommend it! My husband and I are recent empty nesters and we are trying to downsize ourselves as well as work through the homes of my recently deceased grandmothers. Reading this book was like salve for the weary soul—I am encouraged that we are on the right path! Good luck on y’all’s new adventure— can’t wait to read all about it!

Great post! As far as items of sentimental value go, I’m becoming more and more willing to hold onto the sentiment and let go of the item! The memory is the thing of value, not the object. Wishing you all the best on your new adventure.

So good. My hubby is not one that likes to hold onto things, so I’ve learned over the years to evaluate the things I have and I try to be more willing to let things go that don’t necessarily have sentimental value to me. Not always easy though. Added that book to my wish list because it sounds so good, plus having parents who are getting up there and we, ourselves at times tossing around the idea of smaller house, smaller lot, it’s always good information to have.
