This is a lovely tea bread! I’ve made it several times with and without the glaze. I used half and half that helped the bread remain intact and not crumbly. Every time it has been a big hit! It goes so well at tea time.  Recently I made some mini 1 x 2 loaves in a silicon mold baked for 20 minutes no they came out perfect! Great as a finger food. Totally in love with the recipe!

This a lovely recipe! The loaf is a perfect texture and beautiful! I did choose to add a pinch more fresh lavender but would have also been lovely as written as well – I just wanted a bit of a lavender punch. Thank you for sharing this recipe in Pinterest.

Tried it two years ago and it became one of my favorite twins to my morning coffee… I cut it to 12 squares and have one each morning with my coffee (ziplock 6 of them in the freezer)..A very calm and soothing feeling to get your day started… Thanks ???

You can freeze them before you add icing. I wouldn’t freeze longer than 3 months (well wrapped).

I just made this loaf for a ladies tea and it came out beautifully. It’s perfect for an afternoon tea, not too sweet but still such a treat!
