As with any fruit salad and a dressing, I would not make this too far ahead of time. I think the day of is fine, but don't let it set overnight :)

Many years ago when eating at a buffet, I tried some honeydew and cantaloupe that was combined with sour cream. I couldn't get enough of it. The natural sweetness of the fruit mixed with the tart sour cream was delightful. I went shopping the next day for melons and sour cream. After reading this dressing recipe, I can't wait to try it with some delicious ripe melon .

I just made this and it was delicious and I used sour cream.
I personally do not like strawberries, but the dressing was so good that it even made strawberries taste good.
Yes, I'll be making this, again.

Your ingredients say sour cream but your instructions say yogurt. Which works better? I would imagine a vanilla yogurt would be just as sweet without the maple syrup.

Lovely fruit salad recipe, Sandy! My Mom used to make a fruit salad we kids loved, too. She used a BHG or Pillsbury recipe using honey, lime juice and poppy seeds. So fun! Love the Easter Sunday photo of you and your sisters...so sweet! We didn't have cowgirl hats, but my sister and I did wear little white gloves with our Easter dresses and new white patent leather shoes. Thanks for sharing. Wishing you and your family a wonderful and meaningful Easter celebration! xo
