Grandparents are Easy!
What’s easy about Grandparents (who live in town) coming to dinner is this.
They usually can come at the drop of a hat.
They don’t have to worry much about schedules.
A mid-week dinner usually works.
They’re flexible.
They eat anything. They are not picky.
It’s just easy entertaining grandparents!
That’s exactly what happened this last mid-week.
The kids can just be kids. Lots of energy and all.
Buffet-style works.
The kids love to visit with G-Pa and Grandma.
And grandparents know when it’s time to go (especially on a school night).
Do you entertain on weeknights?
Grandparents are wonderful! Talked to mine on the phone last night since we’re not geographically close together. Kelly
Our Grandparents live in town and I couldn’t agree more! We love spending time with them.
I’ll answer back that BEING a Grandparent is easy. All the joy and none of the day to day responsibility.
You have a lovely looking family.

Brings a tear to my eye.
My mother-in-law was a great gal! She was a good cook and helped me a lot in my challenges as a newlywed.
We loved having Gramma over at any time of day and she would invite us over, too. She lived only 3 minutes away. I miss her.
Oh Sandy, your dad looks just great! Haven’t seen him for a long time. I don’t know his wife, but she looks like a sweetheart. Thanks for sharing.
This was so sweet. Count your blessings…not all grandparents care to come…even when they live close.
I love the casual serving you did here…I do it a lot, even with company. And the hot stuff stays hot! :)
Ohhh. This makes me want to invite the grandparents over tonight. Everything you said is perfectly true! Thanks for sharing.
I totally agree. My hubby’s parents live 2 minutes (literally…driving) from our house and we often share meals during the week and often spontaneously! The girls love being able to go and hang out an we enjoy the impromptu get togethers.
