Sandy, pleeeeease post your quinoa recipe! I have tried to make it a couple times, but didn't really like it all that well. It seemed a little bland. I'd love to try whatever that combination is that looks so delicious in the picture!

Congratulations, Sandy! How cool to team up with Rachael and with Ziploc!! Isn't it amazing how we use the term "Ziploc" as if it were a generic term? The SCJ folks must know they have a good brand on their hands!

Question: have you published a recipe for that bean/quinoa dish? It looks yummy!

Hi Sandy,

I love this idea too! I liked their page the other day. I use so many Ziplock bags - much in the same way you do - and they are a meal time lifesaver. A year's supply! Oh my! That would be great. :-) it's wonderful that Ziplock and Rachel Ray want to encourage folks to eat fresh food. It's so important to good health...and having containers and plastic bags at the ready makes storage and retrieval a lot easier.

One thing that I absolutely love using Ziplock bags for...and this might sound funny...is for storing chicken feet! I love to make stock and chicken feet make the best stock. I store about six chicken feet in a quart size bag and then put a few bags into a gallon size bag and plop them into the freezer. It keeps them corralled and easy for me to pull out when I want to make stock...and having them all corralled in one bag saves my family the fright of accidentally stumbling upon a lone bag of chicken feet when looking for the ice cream! LOL!!!

I also use Ziplock bags outside the kitchen as well. I keep a few boxes of different sizes in my trunk to be prepared to hold all sorts of things...wet bathing suits, dirty shoes, roadside treasures that boys always seem to find...! LOL!!! They come in so handy. I also use them when I pack to keep things separated.

Thanks for letting us all know about this!

Have a great day.

Love,

Mary
