I made this for my family for dinner last night with a few alterations out of necessity. We are all vegetarian so instead of beef, I used Gardein crumbles. For the sauce I used Hot Pepper Peach Jam and omitted the additional heat, since there was plenty of heat in the jam.. Dinner was amazing and the family raved.

This is a keeper. I love Korean food! And have all the ingredients to boot! The Dragon Wings at Village Bar ‘n Grill are wonderful–as they are that Korean sauce. Spicy ‘n delish also! SOON AS Covid is over I will take you to lunch again and we can have some!!!!

Sandy, God cares for animals as His creation. It might very well be you will see your pup in Heaven one day. It sounds like sweet Haggis had a wonderful life. I’m glad you are having a sweet time of remembering him with fun stories. It will heal your heart.

Oh Sandy, so sorry to learn about Haggis…we had to do that last February with our beloved collie, Candy (13)…it’s very sad and I will admit, I cried off and on for several weeks. I immediately purchased a collie ornament, placing her name and dates on the back of it. I so enjoyed having it on our tree this past year. Always with us in memory and heart.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe. Our married son is with us today as his wife is out of town and it’s snowy out there…he said he would make this for me tonight; not sure what recipe they use…but I thought it was a strange coincident! Thank you for sharing, I always love your recipe and ideas.

I’m so sorry, Sandy. We lost our Golden last November — he was 16 years old and it was heartbreaking for our 3 children (all young adults too) He had been with us so long and they grew up with him. I have a new appreciation for vets and their staff who put up with blubbering clients. Time heals…but I’m feeling your pain today. Recipe looks delicious! God bless.

I love rice and noodle bowls…so so good. How often as parents of older children do we have to bite our tongues, search our memory for when our kids were “that age”, remembering that not every moment was “enjoyable”, and to hold back judgement. Great post.
