I honestly never realized you could grow curly willows after purchasing them (as silly as that may sound!). I love this look and it would go great in my apartment…thanks for the inspiration.

I just discovered your blog…and am *thrilled*! “Hospitality” has been ringing in my ears for several weeks now. At home, but especially at church.

The curly willow is beautiful! I love greenery indoors (ivy is my favorite) but I’ve never been able to keep anything alive. :( Any tips, or live plant suggestions, for somebody like me, with a black thumb?

Not really bringing nature in, but I love using orchids as part of the decor. Most people think of orchids as fragile easy-to-kill flowers but it is far from the opposite. As long as they are not over-watered they do very well. I can actually forget to water them and they are still beautiful. When they bloom, the blooms last for several weeks and are gorgeous.

Thanks for the tip about the curly willow. Maybe I will do that today!

This looks so pretty, Sandy. My mom always did the same and it something that I also do. I enjoy forcing branches and I am always collecting pine cone, shells, small rocks, and small pieces of interesting-shped driftwood to display in our home. They are little remembrances of our road trips.

These look amazing! I love it. Question for you though, how on earth is it supported? It looks enormous compared to that little vase!
