I would make your one pot paprika chicken because it is absolutely delicious!
A good hearty soup or chili are my one pot go-to’s for sharing a meal.
I WOULD MAKE “GRANDMA’S SOUP”. THIS IS A VERY MUCH LOVED RECIPE FROM MY GRANDMOTHER. THIS ALSO FREEZES WELL.
YOU BOIL A LARGE HUNK OF MEAT AND COOL. YOU USE CARROTS, POTATOES, CABBAGE, ONIONS, BELL PEPPERS , TOMATOES, AND CELERY. USING A MEAT GRINDER TO GRIND EVERYTHING TOGETHER. PLACE IN A LARGE SOUP POT. SEASON WITH SALT, PEPPER, GARLIC POWDER & GROUND SAGE TO TASTE. THEN PUT IN TALL CAN OF TOMATO JUICE. THIS IS A VERY THICK SOUP SO IF IT SEEMS LIKE MORE LIQUID IS NEEDED ADD BEEF BROTH OR WATER. SIMMER ON LOW FOR 3-4 HOURS. SERVE WITH RITZ CRACKERS OR CORNBREAD.
NOTE: YOU CAN ADD ANY OTHER VEGGIES YOU WANT THIS IS JUST THE WAY MY GRANDMA MADE IT. I HAVE AN ELECTRIC MEAT GRINDER NOW SO ITS LESS TIME CONSUMING. ALL OF THE GRANDKIDS WOULD TAKE TURNS CRANKING THE HAND GRINDER FOR GRANDMA, FOND MEMORIES.
Chicken and Biscuits… I’m not sure what the actual name of the dish is, but this is what I know it as. It’s one of my favorites when I’m home with family.
I love making pork chops and rice. It’s so good and people always love it.
Braised short ribs-yummy!
Thai coconut soup to warm their hearts and give them farts ;)
Chicken Noodles Soup
I would make a nice hearty (and a little spicy) chicken stew!
Sweet potato chickpea chili…so yummy, warm and colorful!
My standard one pot meal for people is chili with all the toppings.
Skillet lasagna.
Pot Roast!!!!
White chicken chili
Chili or chicken and dumplings. :)
Braised chicken thighs and sausage stew with root vegetables over cheesy polenta.
I would make Chicken and Sausage Gumbo!
chicken posole
I’ve found that beef stew is a great one-pot meal to make for giving. It’s always better the next day anyway, so it works out well as a make-ahead.
Oriental Hotdish…so yummy:-)
I would make a big pot of short ribs with potatoes and carrots.
Lentil and spanish chorizo soup!
A big pot of warm soup – maybe broccoli cheese!
Curried Vegetables!
In she spirit of giving I would make a hearty yet mild chicken tortilla soup, yum!
