Light Smoky Paprika Chicken Alfredo Bake
Enjoy this Light Smoky Paprika Chicken Alfredo Bake recipe for your next casual gathering, delicious served with a salad and hot crunchy bread!
Breathing life into the cold winter months, I’m sharing details today of a FUN Bucket List Coca-Cola Life Winter Party that I recently put together, sponsored by Coca-Cola. I’m also sharing a delicous Light Smoky Paprika Chicken Alfredo Bake recipe, plus a full menu, so you can plan your own winter party!
Winter bucket list.
Since we’re in the middle of winter, and winter parties are all about the guests–you know, making the party cozy, fun, lively, with good conversation–I decided to use a live fresh plant centerpiece, and to ask our guests a few questions to keep the party light and fun.
What to talk about? A Winter Bucket List! It’s a fun way for guests to talk about their dreams and ideas for a geninely sweet, cozy winter season.
Set the table.
I set a pretty table with 3 hyacinth bulbs in the center. I bought these at our local grocery store – 3 for $10. I cannot wait for the gorgeous white blooms! Oh, and I saved a few Oregon pinecones for winter decorating.
I added green canning jars for drinks, Dollar Store white plates, wood chargers from Michaels, and of course paper napkins, because I have so many (read my post about “burning the candles and using the napkins“) and because I love the green leaf, foresty look.
Perfect for a winter party! (With a gold leaf as a place card.)
For a light winter menu, I served a Light Smokey Paprika Chicken Alfredo Bake, with the following menu below!
Coca-Cola Life.
For drinks, we tried the new Coca-Cola Life, a delicous cola with reduced-calorie, sweetened with cane sugar and stevia leaf extract. At 60 calories per 8-oz. glass bottle (leading colas: 90-100 calories), Coca-Cola Life has 35 percent fewer calories than other leading colas. Stevia, a sweetener with zero calories, is obtained from the leaf of the stevia plant. Together with cane sugar, stevia leaf extract gives Coca-Cola Life its delicious, sweet flavor.
Coca-Cola Life gives a sweet, refreshing, sweet boost of bubbly at the party!

Light Smoky Paprika Chicken Alfredo Bake
Ingredients
- 16 ounces ziti pasta, I use DeLallo brand
- 2-3 cups cooked chicken breasts, thinly sliced or shredded
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 4-6 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 1/2 cups low-fat milk, I used 1%
- 1 1/2 cups freshly-grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 2 tsp. smoked paprika
- Green onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Cook the pasta al dente according to package directions. Drain and place back into the the pot.
- In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic, stirring frequently, until golden 1 to 2 minutes.
- Whisk in the flour until smooth, about 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth, milk, salt, pepper and smoked paprika. Bring to a low boil, stirring constantly. Lower the heat and simmer, stirring gently, until the mixture thickens for another 3 minutes. Add 1 cup Parmesan cheese; mix well.
- Pour the sauce over the pasta and toss; add the chicken and mix well. Spread the pasta mixture in a prepared (greased) baking pan and top with 1/4 cup more Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and just barely starts to turn golden. Garnish with green onions; serve.
