A Bellini is a refreshing, smooth cocktail with just the right mix of sweet, sour and crispness. The mellow sweetness of this festive sparking mango bellini combined well with the tart orange brings a sweetness to the drink. Then add the dry prosecco (or your favorite champagne) to give it a balanced flavor.

Mango Bellini Cocktail Recipe

We love this delicious brunch cocktail, especially for spring (Easter), and summer entertaining. But honesetly, the great thing about a bellini is you can drink it any time of day, from morning to night.

  • Everyone loves the combination, and the festiveness of the drink.

What is a Bellini?

Typically a Bellini is a cocktail made with Prosecco and peach purée or nectar. It originated in Venice, Italy, but today we’ve changed it up with a brighter flavor – with mango and orange!

How to make a Bellini

  1. Place the flutes in the freezer. Chill the prosecco on ice for 30 minutes.
  2. Open the prosecco and let it stand at room temperature for 5 minutes. Add the sugar around the rims.
  3. Mix together the orange and mango juice; pour orange juice into each glass. Fill to within 1/2-inch of the top of the glass with prosecco and serve.
  4. Optional to garnish with lime slices.

What is Champagne vs Prosecco?

While they’re both sparkling white wines, Champagne is produced from chardonnay, pinot noir, and pinot meunier grapes grown in the Champagne region of northeast France, while prosecco hails from the Veneto region of Italy and is made mainly from glera grapes.

What Flavor is Bellini?

A normal Bellini is one of the simplest champagne cocktails out there, with just two ingredients. We add champagne for a wonderful, lightly fruity flavor. I recommend a Prosecco or dry champagne, but you can use any champagne you like.

Why is it called Bellini?

Giuseppe Cipriani created the cocktail at Harry’s Bar in Venice, Italy, in the 1940s. The pink-ish-colored drink was named the Bellini because it reminded him of a painting of a saint, by the Venetian artist, Giovanni Bellini.

This classic cocktail is elegant and is super easy to prepare!

Host a brunch or girlfriend party

Is the Bellini a girly drink? Well, sort of. But I also think it’s a great Easter or brunch drink.

We recently had our neighbors over, and loved, loved, loved getting to know them. They were so interesting, and it was super-fun exchanging stories and experiences. Plus, living in the same town, it’s great to learn more about the place you are living.

Which, must I say anything further about this beautiful photo?

I followed my husband down to the water and captured the most beautiful pic with him fly fishing.
