Excellent post, m’lady! I agree with you about the red front door being welcoming. (As you know from one of my previous posts, my Mom would have LOVED your front door in cherry-red!) Crushing on your new pendant lighting…adds such warmth to the room! I can’t image the white countertops because what you currently have looks nice. Can’t wait to see! I’m sure they will brighten the space. Now, I’ve gotta go read part 1, LOL! Thanks for sharing!

We STILL have projects!! We are still painting, but we’re going to hire a crew to do the crown molding that was installed and our stairwell. The laundry and walk in closets are on me! :) Oh, and the doors- they need something new on the outside.

Oh Sandy, I am loving the ideas. I am having to pick EVERYTHING right now for our house that they totally gutted on the state park where we live. This is our “forever park”, we will be in this house until hubby retires, so I am trying to make good choices, HELP! I would love to know about the countertops you chose. We have custom red oak cabinests they are staining and a walnut floor, so I think I need white, but I was scared to say it. Tell me about the one you chose.

Sandy, I am LOVING these posts! We are looking more seriously at buying a new home and I am so excited about making it OURS…and I think we all know that the kitchen is the best place to start ;)
