I was looking for something to do with my remaining rutabaga that I had left over from a stew I made when I found your recipe this morning. Unfortunately I had just used my remaining parsnips yesterday in a casserole, but did have some turnips so I used them instead. Also, since I’m on the Auto Immune Protocol (AIP) Diet for my autoimmune disease, I can’t have peppers, but I had some radishes, and often use them in place of peppers in recipes. I also had some AIP compliant Chicken and Bacon Smoked Sausage, so I was able to throw together an AIP complaint version of your recipe and simply loved it. Thank you so much for this recipe which was the inspiration for the AIP compliant version. It is definitely a new favorite.
