Your blog today was so inspiring to me. I felt a sense of calm come over me while reading it. My husband and I have been trying to come up with somewhere to go for a short get a way and this has given me some great ideas. We do need to slow down and spend quiet time together while soaking in nature and thanking God for our blessings. Thank you Sandy:)

Oh, that sounds glorious. We are rarely somewhere that doesn’t have any service, but because I went without data a few years ago, unless there is wifi available I am usually not connected except for texts, and it is nice. I don’t feel that need to “check FB or Instagram or email”. It just waits till I get home. Even if I am somewhere with wifi, I rarely bother with it. I’d rather stay connected to the people I’m with.

We just spent the weekend in the mountains. We do not have a camper, but rented a cabin in the woods. We spent the weekend walking around the beautiful town of Blue Ridge, napping, and just relaxing and spending time with our family. It is so nice to relax and just take time out to realize all the beauty that God has created for our enjoyment!
