Pear Gorgonzola Puff Pastry Pinwheels

Pinwheels can be prepped and refrigerated several days ahead (leave in a roll; wrap the roll in the wax paper and refrigerate). Slice, bake and serve on the same day.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Yield: 9 -12

Ingredients
 

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 SaladSavors package, Gorgonzola, dried pear, toasted almonds
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Lay a piece of puff pastry on a floured work surface and roll slightly to remove the fold lines. Spread with honey.
  • Sprinkle the DeLallo mixture over the puff pastry sheet.
  • Roll tightly; brush the center fold of both puff pastry rolls with a beaten egg.
  • Carefully slice each roll into 1/2-inch slices and lay them flat on parchment paper-lined baking sheets.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes, until golden; serve!
