Personal style.

I want my Pacific Northwest split level home to feel comfortable and lived in. I believe that you can add personal style through charming accents, by blending new pieces with your natural decor, such as our new outlet, light switch and dimmer plates from adorne.

Finding a style that works for you is about finding what you love, and then making it functional in your home. For example, we brought our style up a notch as we removed the old switches and plates.

Our experience.

Working with Legrand has been a great experience for my husband and me. I’ll admit, this was a big project, switching out the electrical switches, plugs, etc. But adorne has a video gallery for you to view of switches, dimmers, wall plate collections, under-cabinet lighting, wireless home systems, as well as an “inspiration gallery.”

We ordered the products, they were sent in a timely manner, and our friend, Jack, helped us get the job done! (USB in the kitchen center island.)

They also have a Room Planner on their site, and an Under-Cabinet Lighting Configurator to help you as you figure out your needs for your home.

My philosophy of a home:

Remember, a home doesn’t have to be perfect to invite others in! Make it comfortable, always stick within a budget that works for you, and make it functional. Don’t get stressed out if you don’t know your style. Find what you love, even if it’s just a few classic pieces or unique treasures, and love what you find!

In other words, create a happy home rather than a perfect home.
