Just made this today and it was a huge hit! I halved it for my three boys and I and it was gone in minutes. I'll definitely be making the full batch next time and saving some for my husband. Thanks for the terrific recipe. It will be made over and over again.

Made this for company this morning and it was a hit. I made it exactly as is. It made 5 large portions. Super easy! Start it a couple of hours before your guests wake up.

This sounds delicious! I LOVE oatmeal and can't wait to try it. I really like to make a crockpot egg casserole...

I love anything with vegetables, so first I saute some green peppers and onions in olive oil. I get a big (32 ounce) bag of frozen hash browns, and put a third of them on the bottom of the slow cooker. Add a third of the onions/green peppers, add about a a third of a pound of cooked cubed ham, and a half cup of cheese (I use Cheddar). Repeat the layers twice more.

In another bowl, mix 12 eggs, a cup of milk, and some salt and pepper (if you like that). Pour it over the ingredients and cook on low. I cook it overnight, so about 8 hours, but I think newer crockpots can cook it faster and it is about six hours. I originally got this recipe from busy cooks, if you want more info!

Thank you for the recipe. I made it this morning for my kids and the babysitter's kids. It was nice to just throw everything in and then get ready for work. Apparently, the girls loved it and the boys weren't that excited about it. I hope to try more recipes like this one. It does make a ton though. I might cut it in half next time.

This looks really interesting. I just printed the recipe and added it to my future list. It might be just the thing for a lazy weekend morning. We all love Baked Oatmeal, so hopefully this will be a hit as well. Thanks!

Looks good. Like others mentioned it would probably not be worth it for the two of us but would be great if we have company.

I make individual servings of oatmeal in the microwave. I only use the oldfashioned oats so I don't how the "quick" version would work.

This recipe looks fabulous Sandy! I've been meaning to make something in my slow cooker and I already eat steel cuts oats regularly so I'm going to try your recipe! Then I'm going to see if my steel cut oats will work in in too since they are also slow cooking. Love walnuts and bananas-YUMMY! Thank you for sharing. :)

Warmly,
Karla
