We’ve done an annual Christmas letter as well, just as much for the kids’ memories as for our friends and family. Some people think these letters are cheesy, but I love that our kids will always have a record of their lives to look through… With 3 kids, I’ve made 3 copies, and my plan is to have them bound and given as a Christmas gift the first year they are married. (Our oldest graduates from college this spring so it’s probably only a few years away…)

Along those lines, when they turned 13, I compiled a “favorite food” cookbook for them. I enlisted friends and family to send in their trusty recipes, scriptures, quotes, etc… I had it bound as well. I’m all about making those special occasions memorable!

What a great idea. I need to get crackin on these this year. So happy to be in Southern OR for Christmas. It’s a beautiful time of year for me here. Wishin I didn’t have to go back to AZ but I don’t think my oldest son feels that way..hahahaha
