There are several farmers’ markets where we live but we do have a backyard garden. Yellow squash, tomatoes and zipper peas have done the best this year [last year it was corn and okra]. So nice to have supper ingredients at hand [and in the freezer when I ‘put by’ the extras!].

Thistles are what are growing in my garden…lol. ….blueberries and raspberries attempted to but I was feeling generous and let the birds eat them instead.

This was a great post Sandy. I totally feel like we have let chaos and busyness take over to the point where we don’t really have people over much and I almost feel like my cooking has digressed…lol….thank you for the reminder to slow down and even if we aren’t having people over, the people in our home are just as if not more important…
