Thank you

I agree...with a large group, I don't worry too much about dietary preferences. If I personally know someone eats a certain way I may make at least part of the meal that way...but usually I leave it to them. I don't do it if it makes more work for me. If it's a couple or a single family, I will ask. A few times I've known people coming ate GF, so when I made chili I just made GF cornbread for everyone.

I frequently host luncheons for a small group of 8 women. One is paleo, another is vegetarian and 6 will eat anything. It is always a challenge to choose an entree(s) that look similar to the other entree so one guest is not singled out. I like the Red Sauce Enchiladas and the Vegetarian Sweet Potato and Bean Enchiladas served at the same time as an option. Do you have any other entree suggestions to accommodate the needs of these guests? I always need ideas other than "make your own salad" or various quiches.

I like your approach to the allergy situation... my son has a severe peanut allergy and I always make sure I have food for him when we eat at somebody else’s house. I don’t expect them to accommodate, but most people know and are so gracious! They will run everything by me to make sure he can eat, which is wonderful. However, I still enjoy the blessing of time with others even if they can’t accomodate!
