What an excellent opportunity you had to see the whole process of what’s known as “Farm to Table” these days. The orchards of North Central Washington are beautiful as well as great suppliers of healthy food. Nice photos too!

I’m from that neck of the woods, but a little east. I can’t say I’ve “toured” any orchards – well, most likely there was at least one orchard field trip in elementary school. I remember making cider once. :) They’ve always just been part of things. I’ve eaten apples right off the trees – apples, peaches and I think cherries were grown in town. Cousins pretty recently started their own wine label, so I’ve been to their vineyards as well as others. It spoiled me to live in such a rich agricultural area, and I’m thankful to live in a similar area now (but in another state). There’s nothing like a tree-ripe peach, and I really look forward to farmers markets to get the good stuff!
