While we don't usually brew a fresh pot at home, my husband and I do enjoy coffee at our local coffee house a few times a week. We enjoy spending the time together, but also with the many regulars that we see there as well.

While we don't use that particular brand of coffee, there is nothing like a brewed pot of coffee on an open fire. Sherrie and I also love to get away from it all and go camping. We live only about an hour from our favorite place to camp here in Northern California, Manzanita Lake in the beautiful Lassen Park Area. Unlike you we do not have a camper van, but we do keep our camping equipment organized and at the ready, so that we can just make a quick trip. Those trips, aka get aways are always to short, but then they always make us wanting to get out more!!
I am the BREW master in our house. So I get up build the fire, and put on a pot of hot steaming joe.... love the smell of it as it perks. It always takes me back to my childhood because my mother ALWAYS had a pot of coffee on the stove, and it was perked, never drip!!! As the season changes, and it gets too cold to go camping, we just snuggle in close to the fire and remember the wonderful days we had in the great outdoors. Thanks for the wonderful post Sandy.
Blessings to you and yours

Wow... I knew about them several years ago (quite awhile ago, now that I think about it). I somehow mentioned to someone there at the company -- I don't even remember how now -- that I had a husband who was deployed overseas. They immediately sent an extra pound of coffee to send over to him & his sandbox buddies.

Those are the kind of stories you just don't forget.

I've never heard of Storyville coffee; I'll check them out! Jack and I have always, always, always loved sharing coffee together. Some of our best memories have been made this way over the years.

Now, you and Paul get away together all the way to North Carolina. You can stay with us and we'll all four enjoy a cuppa joe together. Jack makes a mean espresso!
