Engaging people makes them feel like someone really does care, like they matter. We don’t know what someone is going through, what their story is, and when we take time to become involved it gives them value that they may not have otherwise felt. I often get in conversations with people in grocery lines….sometimes starting by looking at what they have on their line and saying “I’m coming to your house” or “what are you going to make”. Being intentional is huge.
