Ingredients
4eggs
¼cupsugar
2Tbsp.cornstarch dissolved in ¼ cup cold water
¾cupheavy cream
¾cup1% milk
1tsp.vanilla
1tsp.cinnamon
1tsp.nutmeg
2small loaves specialty bread
Blue Diamond Almonds, your favorite varieties left whole or chopped
Instructions
Preheat nonstick griddle or pan over medium heat.
Beat the eggs well and add the sugar; beat again. Whip the cornstarch in the cold water, then add into the eggs, along with the cream and milk. Then beat in the vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Dip the pieces of bread into the egg mixture. Spray griddle or pan with cooking spray, and cook the bread on both sides until golden brown, 3-4 minutes on each side. Serve hot with favorite toppings, such as maple syrup, jelly, butter, and a variety of Blue Diamond Almond flavors (left whole or chopped).
