Easy to make ahead and keep in the fridge until ready for baking.
Ingredients
28 oz canrefrigerated crescent dough
212 oz pkgLit'l Smokies (cocktail sausages)
28 ozCaboot “Vermont extra sharp cheddar cheese” , one for the mini dogs, and one for the base of the tree
Cooking spray or sprayed olive oil
2Tbsp.“everything but the bagel” seasoning blend, we buy at Trader Joe’s
2pkg Raincrisp crackers
1Honey Crisp apple, sliced
1Granny Smith apple, sliced
8ozturkey salami, sliced
4ozherbed salami, sliced
3cupsblackberries
1pintcherry tomatoes
1pkg fresh rosemary, garnish
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll the crescent dough on a piece of parchment paper (so it doesn’t stick). Drain the Smokies (remove the juice), and set aside.
Pinch together two of the crescent triangles (keep side by side) to create a square. With a sharp knife, cut down the square lengthwise to create 1/2 inch strips of dough.
Slice 8 oz cheddar cheese into thin slices that will fit on the crescent strip (should be slightly thinner than the strip), and place on the dough, followed by a Lit'l Smokie.
Roll the Smokie up in the dough and move to the baking sheet. When all Smokies are rolled up, spray with either cooking spray or oil, and sprinkle with the bagel seasoning..
Bake for 9-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and serve.
To make the board, place an 8 oz package of cheese (keep in its package or not), for the base of the tree. Start building the tree with mini dogs, all the way up, until you get to the top of the tree!
Place rosemary sprigs across the tree and add cherry tomatoes.
Fill in open areas with apples, crackers, and other meats.
Place your favorite dips (mustard and ketcup) in 2 small bowls and place on the board.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes
TIP: If you make ahead, easy to reheat them in the microwave for 10-20 seconds, or pop back into the oven to get the cheese melted. SO GOOD.
