1 1/2poundsBratwurst sausage, or your favorite sausage; optional to remove from casing
1onion, diced
6cupschicken broth
1small cabbage, sliced into bite-size pieces, about 6 cups
1 14oz.can of diced tomatoes
1 15oz.Bush’s Cannellini Beans, drained
1tsp.oregano
1tsp.basil
Salt & pepper to taste
Parmesan cheese, optional
Instructions
Cook the sausage in a large pot, over medium high heat. When the sausage has browned, add the onions. Cook for 3-4 more minutes, until the onions are tender.
Add the broth, cabbage, beans, tomatoes, and spices. Bring to boil; season to taste!
Bring the soup to a simmer for 6-7 minutes, until the cabbage is soft.
