Make in a 9-inch pie plate or bake in a springform pan. Make sure and use cooking spray for each pan, so the pie doesn't stick.Bake in a heart shaped pan for Valentine's Day.We love traditional Toll House chocolate chips, but change up the pie and use your favorite flavored chips.You can also add nuts, dates, cranberries to the batter.Almond extract and nuts are optional.Add cardamom to step up the flavor!
Ingredients
2 ½cupsalmond flour
1Tbsp.baking powder
¼tsp.salt
1 ½cupsbrown sugar, packed
½cup1 stick butter, melted
2eggs, beaten
1tsp.vanilla extract
1tsp.almond extract
1 ½cupschocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray a pie plate with cooking spray.
Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and brown sugar in a mixer. Add the melted butter and eggs, plus both extracts. Genlty mix together.
Add the chocolate chips and lightly stir.
Bake for 35-40 minutes. The pie will be softer in the middle, but allow to set/cool on a wire rack, for at least 15 mintues before serving.
