1lbbroccoli florets, equal in size (preferably about 3/4-1’’ thick)
2 1/2Tolive oil, or other oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Place a large rimmed baking sheet on the bottom rack of the oven and preheat to 425 degrees F.
In a large bowl, toss the florets in the oil.
Using a mitt, remove the pan from the oven. Pour the broccoli onto the sheet and season with salt and pepper—stir with a spoon or spatula to distribute the salt and pepper evenly. Return the sheet to the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until stems are tender and there is some browning. Midway through baking, stir the broccoli and return back to the oven.
When the broccoli has reached your desired doneness, remove from oven and serve warm, as a healthy and simple side dish!
