Servings: 8

  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 4 oz. dark chocolate
  • 4 oz. white chocolate
  • 4 eggs beaten
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 cup fresh cherries pitted and halved
  • 1 1/3 cups walnut halves
  • 1 cup butter 2 sticks, melted

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Lightly great an 8×8 pan (or line with parchment paper). Combine the sugar, cocoa powder, flour, and baking powder.
  • Set aside the combined chocolate pieces. (Chop into small pieces if you are using large chunks.)
  • Add the 4 beaten eggs to the dry mixture, and mix until just combined. Gently stir in the chocolate pieces, cherries, and walnuts.
  • Slowly melt the butter (in small pan or microwave) and pour into the mixture; stir without over mixing.
  • Spoon the brownie mixture into the prepared 8-inch pan, and bake for 45-50 minutes.
  • Let cool for at least 1 hour before cutting into squares. Serve with premium vanilla ice cream and fresh cherries on top.
